As voters across 103 municipal bodies cast their votes, Warring emphasized the hardships faced by ordinary citizens due to soaring petrol and diesel prices. 'The situation is critical,' he told reporters, urging the Union government to address the issue burdensome on everyday lives.

Fuel prices saw their fourth increase in less than two weeks, with petrol hitting Rs 105 per litre and diesel Rs 95, sparking inflationary fears. As municipal polls proceed in Punjab's 1,896 wards, the economic impact continues to dominate public discourse.
