Tamil Nadu's Vijay to Discuss State Issues with Modi in New Delhi

C Joseph Vijay, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, is preparing for his inaugural official visit to New Delhi on Wednesday. He will discuss critical state issues with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, emphasizing the need for financial support and the resolution of long-standing state matters.
This engagement marks Vijay's first trip to the capital since taking office earlier this month. His schedule includes attending a meeting with Modi at 4.30 pm to present a memorandum highlighting Tamil Nadu's unresolved demands. The requests focus on funding for welfare and infrastructure projects, approvals for developmental initiatives, and resolving the Mekedatu water conflict.
In addition, Vijay plans to engage with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, advocating for enhanced financial assistance for ongoing projects in Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister is also expected to confer with key Congress figures, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, during his visit.
