Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann criticized state Congress leader Amrinder Singh Raja Warring for using a bullock cart to reach a polling booth, describing it as an ironic gesture. Mann pointed out the contrast between campaigning in luxury vehicles, like SUVs, and then voting using traditional transport.

Warring, along with his wife, appeared at a Muktsar polling location by cart in response to rising fuel costs. He defended his decision, insisting it was a symbolic protest against the significant increases in diesel and petrol prices orchestrated by the central government. Warring questioned if Mann spoke for the BJP while expressing surprise at the criticism.

Warring further raised concerns about the affordability of fuel for regular people, citing that those earning near Rs 10,000 to 12,000 might find it challenging to manage such costs. He suggested that Mann should have supported his initiative, emphasizing the relevance and continued use of bullock carts in rural Punjab.
