In a strategic nighttime assault, Ukrainian drones struck a tanker at Russia’s Taganrog port and ignited a blaze at an oil depot in Armavir. Regional authorities confirmed the attacks, stating that the fires were efficiently extinguished with no oil spills reported, though two people sustained injuries.

Svetlana Kambulova, the mayor of Taganrog, announced the extension of a local state of emergency initially instated in May. Meanwhile, Armavir's officials declared that the fire in their city's industrial zone had been controlled successfully, resulting in no casualties.

Yury Slyusar, the governor of the Rostov region, detailed that nearly 50 drones had been neutralized in an area that borders Ukraine's conflict-laden Donbas. The cross-border unrest highlights an ongoing focus of military tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
