Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran has downplayed concerns following the resignation of former state unit chief K. Annamalai. Nagendran emphasized BJP's robust ideological foundation, which, he says, ensures resilience against leadership changes.

Addressing reporters amid speculations of Annamalai launching a new political movement, Nagendran asserted, "The BJP is an ideology-based party, and there will certainly be no impact from this development." His remarks came post-acceptance of Annamalai's resignation by BJP President Nitin Nabin.

Annamalai, in his resignation letter, expressed gratitude towards the BJP's leadership while citing differing views on Tamil Nadu as his reason for departure. The political landscape shifts further with posters supporting Annamalai adorning Coimbatore ahead of his birthday, suggesting rising support for his potential new initiative.
