In a latest bout of unrest, Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon claimed the lives of at least 13 individuals on Wednesday, according to Lebanese security sources. The strikes were part of Israel’s ongoing efforts against Hezbollah, an Iran-supported entity which has responded with renewed assaults on Israeli troops. Among the deceased were nine victims from Dayr Debba, a village located 8 kilometers east of Tyre, as reported by Lebanon's state-run National News Agency.

Since the inception of this conflict, instigated by the U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran over three months ago, Lebanon has remained a persistent combat zone. The region has witnessed escalations with Israel launching strikes on Beirut’s Hezbollah-dominant districts and subsequent retaliatory missile attacks from Iran against Israel. This chain of events prompted another series of attacks exchanged between Israel and Iran before a temporary ceasefire ensued.

According to Lebanon's health ministry, the conflict has resulted in over 3,700 Lebanese casualties, including 730 women, children, and medics, with approximately 1.2 million people displaced. Hezbollah announced their entry into the conflict on March 2 in response to the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader. Israeli reports indicate 28 Israeli soldiers and four civilians have died due to Hezbollah actions, adding to the war's toll.
