AIMIM Open to Alliances, But Demands Dignity in 2027 UP Elections

In a strategic move ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi declared his party's openness to forming political alliances aimed at preventing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from gaining power.

During an interview with ANI, Owaisi emphasized that any potential coalition would only be formed on the grounds of mutual respect and fair representation.

He reiterated the importance of dignity in any alliance, stating, "We will not accept a subordinate role in any opposition coalition." Meanwhile, AIMIM's candidate for the Matera Assembly constituency has been announced, spotlighting the party's assertive stance in UP politics.
