Messaging app Telegram told an Indian court on Wednesday that blocking the platform would undermine constitutional protections, according a court filing seen by Reuters.
Telegram had filed a petition in court challenging an Indian government order that has temporarily blocked use of the platform in an effort to prevent exam fraud.
