No illegal movement from Ceuta incident to mainland Spain so far, EU spokesperson

An EU spokesperson confirmed that no illegal migrants from the recent Ceuta border rush have successfully moved on to mainland Spain or Europe.

​There has ‌been no ​illegal movement of ‌migrants who arrived in Ceuta during a massive border ‌rush last week ‌to Spain's mainland, an EU spokesperson said ⁠on ​Thursday.

"We ⁠understand that at this ⁠moment from the Spanish authorities ​that illegal movement onwards ⁠to mainland Spain ⁠and Europe ​has so far been successfully ⁠prevented," the spokesperson said during ⁠a ⁠press briefing.
