Hezbollah: New sanctions widen U.S. assault on Lebanon

Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc said on Thursday that new U.S. sanctions against three Hezbollah officials, including two Lebanese MPs, have "widened the American assault" on Lebanon.

The move marks the first time the United States targets lawmakers of the heavily armed, Iran-backed Hezbollah movement which it lists as a terrorist group but is also part of Lebanon's coalition government.
