Revoking provisions of Art 370 possible due to Modi’s strong will power: Ram Madhav

BJP general secretary Ram Madhav on Wednesday said abrogating provisions of Article 370, granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was possible only due to the strong will power of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Madhav said there is an environment of happiness across the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, as people of the state wanted development for a long time.

Addressing a gathering on 'India's freedom movement and Education' organized by Shaikshik Manthan Sansthan here, Madhav said the Modi government has taken drastic efforts to change the political culture in the country. "The present central government is trying to deliver responsibility, accountability and corruption-free governance," he added.

Revoking the provision of Article 370 of the Constitution was possible only due to prime minister's will power, he said.
