Moments after the Kamal Nath government fell in Madhya Pradesh on Friday, a senior BJP leader said Independent MLAs as well those from BSP and SP had shifted their support to the saffron party. Nath submitted his resignation ahead of a floor test in the Assembly after his government was reduced to a minority following the quitting of 22 MLAs loyal to Jyotiraditya Scindia who crossed over to the BJP.

The BSP has two members in the House, the SP one and there are four Independents, all of whom were supporting the Congress government in the state. "Almost all Independents MLAs are with us. SP and BSP MLAs were already with us. They are not here but we have talked to them. They all want positive politics in the state," Ater BJP MLA Arvind Bhadoriya told reporters.

He said the MLAs who were in Bengaluru, who have since resigned from the House, did not want to meet leaders from the Congress who had come to southern state to pacify them. "Now the picture is clear," he said.

Bhadoriya was a key player in the two-week long political tug-of-war in the state, and his picture with rebel MLAs in a Bengaluru resort emerged on social media on several occasions..
