Earthquake of magnitude 6.1 strikes near Chile's Biobio region - EMSC

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck off the coast of Biobio region in central Chile late on Saturday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The quake was at a depth of 20 km (12 miles), EMSC said.
