Six buffaloes die in fire at barn

Six buffaloes died and another sustained injuries after a fire broke out at a barn in Maval tehsil of Pune district on Friday, an official said.

The incident took place near Nagathali village in the early hours, said the Animal Husbandry department official.

The animals belonged to Ramdas Khandbhor, he said.

''People rushed to the site as the fire broke out, but six animals had died before it was put out,'' said the official.
