Tin Roof Collapse in Thane: Two Injured, Houses Damaged

In a startling incident on Friday evening, the tin roof of a four-story school in Yeoor, Thane, collapsed, resulting in significant damage and minor injuries to two residents of adjacent houses, according to officials from the Thane Municipal Corporation.

The collapse, which occurred at approximately 5:45pm, sent the roof crashing down onto adjoining structures. Immediate relief efforts were undertaken by firemen and rescue teams, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the regional disaster management cell.

Datta Mangal Janate, 42, and Reena Datta Janate, 4, sustained minor head injuries. As a safety measure, officials removed the remaining portion of the unstable roof.
