Housing Society’s Protection Wall Collapses in Thane Amidst Heavy Rains

A protection wall of a housing society in Thane's Vartak Nagar collapsed on Monday due to heavy rains. No injuries were reported. The debris was cleared, and the area is now barricaded, according to the Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management chief.

A protection wall of a housing society collapsed amidst heavy rains in Thane's Vartak Nagar on Monday, according to a civic official.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident which occurred in Kokani Pada at 11:30 am, stated Yasin Tadvi, regional disaster management cell chief of Thane Municipal Corporation.

The collapsed structure, measuring 40 feet by 45 feet, had its debris promptly cleared by local fire brigade and RDMC personnel. The affected area has been barricaded for safety, he added.
