Search Launched for Teen Feared Drowned Off Arnala Beach

A 17-year-old boy from Virar is feared drowned in the sea off Arnala beach in Palghar on Saturday, police said.
Identified as Sachin Chowdhary, the teenager had visited the beach with his family members in the evening. He entered the sea for a swim and did not come back, an official reported.
A search operation has been launched to trace Chowdhary, involving the Coast Guard, local police, fire brigade personnel, and fishermen, according to the same official.
Palghar district has been battered by heavy rain over the last two days, complicating search efforts.
