Floods Wreak Havoc: Eight Killed in 24 Hours

Eight people lost their lives in various rain-related incidents over the past 24 hours in multiple districts of a state. Categories of incidents included lightning, drowning, and snake bites. Ongoing floods have affected five regions, necessitating active relief and rescue operations.

Eight individuals have died as a result of rain-related incidents in the last 24 hours, according to the state relief commissioner's office.

Floods are currently impacting five districts, including Ballia, Lakhimpur Kheri, Farrukhabad, Sitapur, and Bahraich. The state has initiated relief and rescue efforts across these regions.

Chitrakoot reported three fatalities, with one each in Kaushambi, Farrukhabad, Agra, Sonbhadra, and Jalaun. The causes of these deaths ranged from lightning strikes to drowning and snake bites.

The fatalities occurred between 6 PM Wednesday and Thursday evening. According to an irrigation department report, the Ganga river is flowing above the danger mark at the Kachla bridge in Budaun.
