Congress MLA Altone D'Costa on Friday raised alarms in the state legislative assembly about the increasing sightings of leopards and bison in populated areas of his constituency, Quepem, in South Goa.

During the Zero Hour session, the first-time legislator reported that these wild animals are now roaming freely in places like markets during daytime.

He called upon Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to intervene immediately. Sawant assured the assembly that he would instruct the state forest department to take swift action.
