Crocodile Killed by Train Near Rouza Station

In a tragic incident near Rouza Railway Station, a female crocodile was fatally struck by a train on Tuesday morning, confirmed an official.

According to Forest Department Deputy Ranger Ajay Singh Rana, the crocodile was found severed into two pieces by the passing train. The animal, estimated to be around one and a half years old and three feet in length, likely entered the area during the ongoing monsoon season and lost its way.

Villagers had reported sightings of the crocodile, prompting the forest department to attempt its capture. Despite their efforts, the animal could not be secured. A team of veterinarians is now set to perform a post mortem examination on the carcass.
