Delhi Gears Up with Enhanced Winter Action Plan to Combat Pollution

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced that the government will implement a 21-point Winter Action Plan to address rising pollution levels during the winter months. A joint meeting with 35 key departments was held to discuss strategies, building on last year's 15-point action plan which resulted in reduced pollution levels.

A joint meeting involved 35 pivotal departments such as the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), Delhi Police, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), and Public Works Department (PWD), where strategies were thoroughly discussed. Rai emphasized the government's unwavering commitment to tackle pollution, highlighting this year's focus on innovative measures.

Last year's 15-point plan yielded positive results with noticeable pollution reduction since the Kejriwal government took charge. The enhanced plan aims to continue these improvements.
