A tragic fire erupted in a makeshift hut near East Delhi's Anand Vihar early Tuesday, resulting in a deadly cylinder explosion that claimed three lives, including two brothers, while one person managed to escape, according to authorities.

The Delhi Fire Services received an emergency call at 2:22 am and dispatched three fire tenders to the scene. Despite bringing the flames under control by 2:50 am, the fire tragically claimed the lives of Jaggi (30), his brother Shyam Singh (40), and another individual, Kanta Prasad (37), due to asphyxiation.

Delhi Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the cause of the blaze, with speculation pointing towards a diesel container as the fire's origin. Meanwhile, the Indraprastha Gas Limited clarified that the deceased were not part of its workforce.
