Residents of Uttar Pradesh experienced a temporary respite from the relentless heat as a brief spell of rain and strong winds swept through the region on Thursday morning, according to meteorological department officials.
A significant shift in the weather occurred across at least 25 districts, predominantly in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. Aligarh noted the highest rainfall, recording 4 mm.
Looking ahead, similar weather conditions are forecasted for Friday in parts of the state, particularly in the western, Terai, and southern regions. However, post-disturbance, a rise of 4-5 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures is expected until May 13.
