The CEO of online trucking platform, BlackBuck, Rajesh Yabaji, announced on Tuesday the company's decision to move out of its current office at Bellandur in Bengaluru. The decision stems from mounting commuting and infrastructure issues, particularly on the Outer Ring Road (ORR), a congested IT corridor in the city.

The ORR serves as a critical artery for the tech industry in Bengaluru, yet its deteriorating condition has become a major concern. Yabaji cited that the average commute time for colleagues has increased to over 1.5 hours one way, due to roads filled with potholes and dust. He expressed no optimism for improvements in the foreseeable future.

The broader situation speaks to a growing frustration within the local tech community. Krishna Kumar Gowda, General Secretary of the Greater Bengaluru IT Companies & Industries Association, emphasized the need for urgent governmental intervention. Their appeal follows a viral video highlighting poor road conditions, prompting Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar to commit Rs 1,100 crore for road development.
