The Noida Authority unveiled a newly constructed six-lane elevated road along DSC Road for a trial run on Tuesday, aimed at easing traffic headaches plaguing thousands of regular commuters. The 4.5-kilometer span cost Rs 608.08 crore and stands as a pivotal project for decongesting a major thoroughfare.
Stretching from Agahpur Petrol Pump to NSEZ, the new road provides a streamlined route for traffic linking Noida, Greater Noida, Dadri, and Surajpur. The area's heavy traffic has been an ongoing issue, prompting the Authority to embark on this ambitious project in 2020, which CEO Lokesh M oversaw diligently to ensure its timely completion.
Once fully operational post-trial, this elevated road is set to drastically cut down travel times for many, including residents and commuters from densely crowded villages and bustling industrial sectors. This development marks a crucial step in addressing the area's traffic problems, offering smoother access to Greater Noida and surrounding regions.
