Tragedy Strikes: Cheetah Cub Killed on Madhya Pradesh Highway

In a distressing event, a male cheetah cub from Kuno National Park met a tragic end after being struck by a vehicle on a highway in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district, police reported.
The fatal accident happened on a national highway near the Ghatigaon area, approximately 35 to 40 kilometers from Gwalior, according to Gwalior Zone Inspector General of Police Arvind Saxena.
After leaving the park and being separated from its mother, the 20-month-old cub was hit by an unknown vehicle. In response, authorities have reduced traffic and restricted speed on the highway to prevent similar incidents, as another cub from the same mother may still be nearby. Forest officials are actively searching for the surviving cub in the area.
