In a tragic road rage incident, Vikas, a 27-year-old DTC bus driver, was fatally assaulted near Shiv Chowk in Delhi's Rohini, after a dispute with a car driver. His grieving family is calling for the immediate arrest of all suspects and adequate compensation, arguing that Vikas was their primary financial support.
The altercation, escalating from a minor traffic disagreement near a wedding procession, resulted in brutal public violence. Despite the arrest of one individual, numerous accomplices remain at large, prompting intensified police efforts to apprehend all responsible. Vikas succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, alongside a bystander also hurt during the attack.
The incident has incited protests among Delhi Transport Corporation staff. Demonstrators halted traffic on Urban Extension Road-II, demanding justice for Vikas and advocating for enhanced security measures against persistent threats facing bus drivers on congested routes throughout the city.
