The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has taken a significant step by proposing the creation of 'Japan City' and 'Singapore City' along the Yamuna Expressway.

In a strategic initiative, YEIDA CEO R K Singh stated on Thursday that the proposal, submitted on February 18, details plans to devote 500 acres each in Greater Noida's Sector 5A and Sector 7 to the two cities.

These sectors are designated as multi-purpose industrial zones, with up to 70 percent of the land use planned for industrial purposes. This development coincides with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's forthcoming official visits to Japan and Singapore.
