In a tragic incident on the Prayagraj-Kanpur highway, two cousins lost their lives after an unidentified vehicle collided with their motorcycle. The accident unfolded late Sunday night near Kakoda village, leaving the local community in shock.
According to Station House Officer Chandra Bhushan Maurya of the Kokhraj police, the deceased were identified as Laxman, 28, and his younger cousin Ankit, 15. They were returning home from a community feast when the tragedy struck. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are making concerted efforts to trace the vehicle responsible for the crash. CCTV footage from cameras installed along the highway is being meticulously examined to gather leads, Maurya stated.
