The Delhi government has issued directives to curb fuel usage by limiting departmental use of government vehicles, promoting public transport, and encouraging electric vehicle (EV) adoption.
The measures, directed by Parvesh Sahib Singh, the minister in charge, echo Prime Minister Modi's call for fuel conservation and mark an initiative for disciplined governance.
Officers are encouraged to hold virtual meetings and comply with a 'no car day' weekly to further cut fuel consumption. Compliance will be closely monitored through weekly reports submitted by each department.
