New Beginnings: Hope Rises from the Ruins in Mundakkai–Chooralmala

The township, symbolizing hope and new beginnings, was built after landslides claimed over 200 lives and destroyed homes in Wayanad, Kerala.

CPI(M) stalwart Pinarayi Vijayan reached out to families affected by the 2024 Mundakkai–Chooralmala landslides on Sunday as they resettled into newly built government houses in Kalpetta.
Previously, the Chief Minister in March handed over keys to 178 houses, but families delayed moving in due to incomplete facilities.
This marks a significant milestone in recovery efforts, offering new hope to victims of the catastrophic event where landslides claimed over 200 lives.
