A structural collapse in Thane city, Maharashtra, left a 49-year-old man injured, according to civic officials. The incident took place around 10:05 am on Sunday at the 'Matoshree' building in Pachpakhadi.
The ceiling slab of flat No. 205, located on the second floor of this deteriorating 35-year-old structure, collapsed onto flat No. 105 below. The building had already been categorized as 'C2B'—indicating it needs structural repairs.
Injured in the incident, Anant Laxman Mhatre was admitted to the Thane district government hospital. Affected residents will be temporarily moved to rental properties provided by the Thane Municipal Corporation, officials confirmed at the scene.
