Four dead, 90 trapped in north China coal mine accident, Xinhua reports

​Four people ​were ‌confirmed dead ​and 90 remain trapped ‌underground after carbon monoxide levels exceeded limits in a coal ‌mine in Changzhi ‌City of north China's Shanxi Province, state news agency ⁠Xinhua ​reported ⁠Saturday.

The accident happened late ⁠Friday in the Liushenyu ​coal mine in Changzhi. By ⁠early Saturday, 157 of ⁠the ​total 247 workers who were underground had ⁠been brought to the ⁠surface, ⁠including four dead, Xinhua said.
