Earthquake of magnitude 4.7 in Luzon, Philippines

Series of jolts strucking Philippines shook the island nation which sits in the dangerous 'ring of fire'. The latest one that hit the island nation was third in series which measures 4.7 magnitudes in Richter scale. Luzon island in the northern, Philippines felt tremors at midnight.

According to the Independent Scientific Organization (EMSC), it was an aftershock of the massive earthquake which was reported yesterday. Following yesterday earthquake, there will be other felt earthquakes in the region in the coming days and weeks, EMSC added.

Earlier today afternoon a strong Earthquake of magnitude 6.6 shakes Samar in the Philippines and no casualties were reported.
