Zambia's economy is projected to grow around 2.5 percent this year, down from an initial projection of almost 4 percent, Finance Minister Bwalya Ng'andu said on Thursday.

Speaking at an economic summit in Livingstone, in southern Zambia, Ng'andu said the growth has been sluggish, mainly due to adverse weather conditions that had dampened the agricultural and energy sectors, while tight liquidity conditions had also hit businesses and economic activity.
