Houston Texans cornerback Kevin Johnson could miss several weeks after being diagnosed with a concussion Sunday in his first game back from a head injury.

Johnson cleared concussion protocol in time to play at Foxborough in the season-opening loss to the New England Patriots.

Head coach Bill O'Brien said Monday that Johnson would likely miss significant time with a second concussion in less than four weeks.

The Texans picked up the fifth-year option for 2019 on Johnson's contract in April, assuring the former first-round pick just over $9 million next season.

On his first five passes targeting Johnson on Sunday, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady completed four passes, two for touchdowns, and drew one holding penalty.

The Texans also lost offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson. He will be placed on injured reserve and is scheduled for ankle surgery on Tuesday, O'Brien said on Monday.
