San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a left calf injury.

NFL Network reported Sherman was relieved to hear the degree of the injury was relatively minor. He left Arrowhead Stadium in a walking boot following Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Sherman was noticeably limping and grimaced as he left the field at halftime.

Sherman broke up a potential touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Tyreek Hill in Sunday's loss, deflecting the only deep pass on which he was targeted by the Chiefs.
