The Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday traded defenseman Connor Carrick to the Dallas Stars for a conditional 2019 draft pick.

Carrick, 24, tallied four goals and 12 assists in 47 games for Toronto last season, including three game-winning goals.

Carrick has played in 167 games in four seasons with Washington and Toronto, registering nine goals and 21 assists.

Toronto had re-signed Carrick to a one-year, $1.3 million contract in June.

The Maple Leafs will receive a sixth-round pick if Carrick plays in 50 NHL games this season. Otherwise, they will get a seventh-round pick.
