Despite a strong start with a 2-under 69 in the first round, Bengaluru golfer Aditi Ashok encountered difficulties at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. The second day saw her struggle, going 2-over after 13 holes. Late birdies on the 16th and 18th were insufficient, and she missed the cut by one stroke amidst windy conditions that raised the scoring challenge.
Meanwhile, Jenny Shin shot a 2-under 69 to secure a one-shot lead heading into the final round. The South Korean, who is striving for her first victory since 2016, showcased a commendable performance with six birdies and four bogeys, achieving a two-day total of 10-under 132.
Albane Valenzuela, aiming to be the first Swiss player to clinch a Tour victory, shot a 68 and secured second place, trailing Shin by just one shot. The leaderboard remains competitive with Ssu-Chia Cheng, Narin An, Megan Khang, and Wei-Ling Hsu close behind.
