Tennis star Andy Murray is set to undergo back surgery on Saturday, a pivotal move before he decides on competing at Wimbledon or the Paris Olympics. The 37-year-old, who has struggled with injuries, retired from his second-round match at Queen's Club due to back pain.

The two-time Wimbledon champion, who announced his intention to retire later this year, was trailing Jordan Thompson 4-1 before his exit. Issues with his right leg were already present before his match started, and three games in, he sought treatment for his surgically repaired right hip, right knee, and lower back.

Murray's management confirmed the upcoming procedure but provided no further details. The All England Club's first-round play begins on July 1.
