India's Olympic Aspirations Soar: President Murmu's Bold Support

President Draupadi Murmu conveyed her best wishes to Indian athletes for the Paris Olympics and announced India's bid to host the 2036 Games. President Draupadi Murmu wished the best for Indian athletes competing in the Paris Olympics in her address to the Parliament today. She also announced India's ambitious bid to host the 2036 Olympics.

Murmu lauded the Modi government's initiatives for the country's record-breaking medal hauls at global events. 'Due to the effective efforts of my government, young Indian players are winning a record number of medals at global platforms. The Paris Olympics is also going to start in a few days,' Murmu stated.

With over 100 athletes qualified for the Paris Games, including a record 21 shooters, India aims to surpass its best-ever haul of seven medals from the Tokyo Olympics. Encouraged by IOC head Thomas Bach, India will face competition from Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Qatar in its bid to host the 2036 Games.
