The Texas Super Kings secured their first victory in the 2024 Major League Cricket season, triumphing over the San Francisco Unicorns by seven wickets at Church Street Park in Morrisville on Thursday. Chasing an achievable total of 127, openers Faf du Plessis and Devon Conway set the tone early. While du Plessis played a supporting role with 34 off 17 balls, Conway led with a rapid 32 off 19 before retiring hurt.

Aaron Hardie stepped up after Conway's injury, scoring 34 off 23 balls to guide the Super Kings to their target, despite a valiant effort from Unicorns' bowler Hassan Khan. Earlier, the Unicorns started strong with 74 runs in the powerplay but lost momentum due to consistent wickets, ending their innings at a modest total. Key contributions included Matt Short's 33, while Zia Ul-Haq significantly impacted with early wickets.

The standout performer was Mohammad Mohsin, whose bowling figures of 4/13 were pivotal. His disciplined bowling and ability to extract movement off the pitch made scoring challenging for the Unicorns.
