Hardik Pandya received a grand homecoming in Vadodara on Monday, with fans welcoming the all-rounder, a key player in India's T20 World Cup win in the Americas. The celebration echoed the famous open-top bus parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Fans waved the national flag and chanted Pandya's name, as seen in a PTI Video.

The open-top bus, adorned with a banner reading ''Hardik Pandya - Pride of Vadodara,'' passed through streets lined with cheering fans and large posters of the cricketer.

Pandya emerged as a standout performer for India, taking 11 wickets and scoring 144 runs at a strike rate of 150 during the World Cup. His best performance was in the final against South Africa, where he took 3/20 and helped secure the victory. Despite a modest IPL season with Mumbai Indians, selectors had faith in his all-round abilities and big-match temperament.

During the IPL, Pandya, who took over as captain of MI from Rohit Sharma, faced boos at every venue. However, he elevated his game in the World Cup, fulfilling the hopes of billions of Indian fans worldwide.
