India’s Bhavtegh Singh Gill captured the silver medal in the men’s skeet event on the concluding day of the ISSF Junior World Cup in Porpetto, Italy. Gill shot an impressive score of 52 in the six-man final, finishing just behind American Benjamin Keller, who shot 56 to take home the gold.
With Gill's silver and Sabeera Haris’s bronze in the junior women’s trap, India secured the third position in the overall standings, trailing only behind the USA and Italy. During the qualification rounds, Gill made it to the top six with a score of 121. In a dramatic final, Keller led early, and Gill's perfect round of 20 ensured his silver win as Sapp moved down to bronze position.
Other Indian participants, Zoravar Bedi and Munek Battula, ranked 26th and 33rd in the junior men’s skeet respectively. Sanjana Sood was the best among the Indian women, finishing 10th in the junior women's skeet category, followed by Vanshika Tiwari and Zahra Deesawala, who finished 13th and 36th respectively.
