Lakshya Sen Triumphs in Olympics Debut Match

In a remarkable display of skill, ace Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen defeated Kevin Cordon of Guatemala during a group match in the men's singles badminton competition at the Paris Olympics on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Sen secured his victory with scores of 21-8 and 22-20, taking down the reigning Pan American champion in just 42 minutes. This triumph marks Sen's debut in the Olympics, adding another accolade to his impressive resume which already includes a gold medal from the 2022 Commonwealth Games and a bronze from the 2021 World Championships.
Sen will face Belgium's Julien Carraggi on Monday in his second group match. Despite a strong comeback by Cordon in the second game, Sen maintained his composure to start his Olympic journey on a triumphant note.
