The Indian men's archery team, featuring Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav, looks to end their Olympic medal drought as they face Colombia or Turkiye in the quarterfinals of the Paris 2024 men's team event on Monday. Despite their success in the Archery scene at the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, with India securing a total of 27 medals, including five golds, an Olympic medal has remained out of reach.

In the qualification round, the trio secured a third-place finish with 2013 points, ensuring direct progression to the quarterfinals. South Korea led the rankings with 2049 points, followed by France at 2025 points while China completed the top four with 1998 points.

The women's team, consisting of Bhajan Kaur, Deepika Kumari, and Ankita Bhakat, also advanced to the quarterfinals. However, despite a strong qualification, they were decisively defeated by the Netherlands, exiting the competition with a 6-0 scoreline. A potential men's team medal would honor the steadfast dedication of veteran archer Tarundeep Rai, who continues to compete since his Olympic debut in 2004.
