Anush Agarwalla: First Indian in Olympic Dressage, Falls Short of Final
Indian equestrian Anush Agarwalla finished ninth in his group at the Paris Olympics dressage event, failing to advance to the finals. Despite the setback, Agarwalla made history as the first Indian to compete in Olympic dressage, having previously won gold and bronze at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
Indian equestrian Anush Agarwalla faced disappointment at the Paris Olympics, finishing ninth in his group in the individual dressage category, which led to his elimination from the competition.
Agarwalla, riding Sir Caramello Old, scored 66.444, which wasn't enough to secure a place in the medal round. Despite his performance, Agarwalla made history as the first Indian to compete in dressage at the Olympics, having met the Minimum Eligibility Requirement four times to obtain a quota for the country.
Denmark's Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour topped Group E with a score of 80.792, while Germany's Isabell Wirth came in second.
