Cardiff City Signs Anwar El Ghazi Amid Controversial Contract Termination

Cardiff City has bolstered its squad by signing forward Anwar El Ghazi on a one-year contract. The move follows the controversial termination of El Ghazi's contract with Mainz over his support for Palestinians in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Last October, El Ghazi was suspended by the Bundesliga club due to a social media post about the conflict, and by November, his contract was terminated. A German court recently ruled that the club had wrongfully ended his contract.

The 29-year-old, who has previous Championship experience with Aston Villa, expressed his gratitude and determination via social media, saying he looks forward to forging a successful chapter at Cardiff City.
