Indian Sailors Vishnu and Nethra Make Progress at Paris Olympics

Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan, representing India, advanced in their respective dinghy competitions at the Paris Olympics. Vishnu finished the sixth race in 13th place, while Nethra stood in 20th. Both sailors had previously secured Olympic quotas for India in prior qualification events.

Indian sailor Vishnu Saravanan finished day three of his sailing campaign at the ongoing Paris Olympics in the 13th spot at the end of race six. Nethra Kumanan, in the women's dinghy competition, ended in 20th place after race six on Saturday.

Vishnu, who is an Asian Games bronze medalist, improved to the 13th position with 13 race points by the end of race six, a significant rise from his 21st place finish after race five. On the first day, he started strong by finishing 10th in race one but slipped to 34th in race two. The top 10 boats by the end of race 10 will advance to the medal race.

In the women's category, Nethra Kumanan secured the 20th position after accumulating 20 race points in race six. Her journey began with a 6th place finish on day one but fluctuated significantly in subsequent races. Both Saravanan and Kumanan had earned their Olympic quotas earlier in the year, showcasing their determination and skill on the international stage.
