The 63-year-old, who guided Brazil to victory in the 2019 Copa America, is set to be released on Saturday with instructions to rest for two days.
Tite will miss Sunday's critical league match against Bragantino, as confirmed by the club. "Coach Tite has shown good clinical progress with the treatment he has received. The arrhythmia was reversed, and the heart rhythm normalized," the statement read. His son, Assistant Coach Matheus Bachi, will take over team duties.
Flamengo is currently fourth in the league standings with 41 points, trailing five points behind league leaders Botafogo.
